NASCAR appoints The James Group to rebrand road racing series—Grand-Am

New York-based branding agency The James Group has been awarded the rebranding initiative for Grand-Am the road racing series of NASCAR—following a lengthy, multi-agency pitch process.

Grand-Am, long suffering from anonymity, has spent the past decade organically growing and developing its racing series into a highly competitive, fan-focused event. “We’ve spent a lot of time getting the racing right, now we want to get our message out there,” says Kevin Hindson, Director of Marketing for Grand-Am. “We’re ready to take our rightful place among the racing elite and be recognized for what we are. The James Group approach is the one that best suited our goals, which are pretty aggressive. We’re very excited for the upcoming season.”

Grand-Am is gearing up for an early 2011 re-launch.
